Mission:
Motivated by our belief in the dignity and worth of each person as a child of God, Maria Droste Residence is committed to assisting women who seek recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
As a 12-step oriented, sober-living residence we foster the on-going recovery of women who have completed treatment.
Maria Droste Residence is a non-profit transitional house operated by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. The house opened in 1979 and has been serving women in the St. Louis area since then.
Services Provided:
We offer a structured program with components that assist each resident in her efforts to achieve lasting recovery. These components include:
- Assistance in developing an individual recovery plan.
- Individual and group mentoring

Staff are available 24/7 and evening meals are prepared five nights a week.
We offer on-going goal-oriented case management, recovery mentoring, spiritual life skills development, and budget assistance. Goals for our residents include: Choosing a recovery lifestyle that has an inner discipline.
