The Good Shepherd mission is “Love-In-Action” and rests on the belief that “One person is more precious than a world.”
Services Provided:
Good Shepherd Center offers a residential treatment program combining treatment, residential, and educational services while providing a highly structured and consistent learning and living environment which supports therapeutic progress. The comprehensive program promoting psychiatric services, crisis management, psychological services, clinical services including individual, group, and family therapy, as well as specialized therapy groups. Health services including mediation, nutrition, dental, and general medical services.
There are currently three specialized treatment milieus, each with a unit dedicated to the residents:
- Dually diagnosed residents with mental health and substance abuse treatment needs.
- Residents with cognitive limitations, requiring unique and individualized treatment.
- Transitional aged youth, aged 18 – 21, with combined mental health and vocational/life transition skills needs.
