Today the
Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd numbers approximately 5,600
sisters. In addition there are hundreds of Good Shepherd
Associates and lay collaborators. There are Good Shepherd convents in most countries of the world. Groups of houses
form a province which is under the leadership of a provincial. Presently there are
48 provinces in the Congregation. The general superior and her councilors reside in
Rome which is the seat of the central government.
