Focus of Program: The programs at Chisholm
Treatment Centre and Barnett House endeavor to create a holistic approach to residential
care for young women between the ages of twelve and twenty-one, aimed at fostering growth,
and enhancement of their full potential in the areas of physical, emotional, intellectual,
spiritual, social, and cultural development. There is a strong emphasis on
relationship building as a tool for therapeutic intervention, with staff members serving
as role models, motivators, educators, and nurturers. Through the process of
therapeutic intervention, the utmost attention is take to uphold the worth, dignity and
uniqueness of the individual.
