The group home serves adolescent boys (capacity eight) who are: between the ages of twelve and seventeen; enrolled in grades seven through twelve manifesting emotional/social/behavioral/family maladjustment; unable to remain in their own homes; and who need more intensive treatment and support services than can be provided through less restrictive alternatives such as foster family care.  The anticipated program outcome is return home or to a less structured living arrangement or emancipation.

The program is a structured, family environment in which staff engender daily living skills that enhance personal responsibility, self-sufficiency, and interpersonal development - communication, conflict resolution, and refusal skills.

The boys are oriented to community resources, e.g., local schools, recreational resources, community services, and employment.  Parents are involved in all aspects of treatment, planning, plan reviews, and treatment.  Services provided to parents include counseling around issues of separation and reunion, family therapy, and enhancement of parenting skills.
