Focus of Program: A job and career preparation program for women who are heads of household and need to enter the job market. WISH offers six-week job readiness classes incorporating work in basic computer skills, which assist in the transition to employment, further education or training. Classes also include short/long term goal setting, resume writing, interviewing skills, academic review and a weekly workshop on stress/ resiliency and problem solving. Individual job counseling and referrals are also available. Classes run Monday through Friday from 9:30-3:30. WISH is part of the NYS Displaced Homemaker Program and is funded by the NYS Department of Labor,
