Focus of Program: An intensive preventive services program serving families who have experienced difficulty with an addictive substance to the extent that their children are in danger of being removed. Substance abuse treatment is not provided directly, but is facilitated by casework services including comprehensive assessments, ongoing collaboration with treatment programs, advocacy and intensive outreach services. The goal is to prevent placement of children in foster care and to facilitate reunification of families with children currently in foster care.
