Treatment Foster Care Program

Focus of Program: As an alternative to group care and to deflect youth from institutional care, Marymound has developed a number of treatment foster homes which serves approximately 60 children. The age range of clients is between 6 and 17 years. The Children and youth receive therapeutic input from the foster parents as well as from Marymound therapists.

An offshoot of the foster care program is the Inter-Dependence program and support system, called "Roots and Wings" which provides daily teaching, coaching, and counseling supprt for older youth transitionsing out of care, especially those young people whose level of self sufficiency is compromised.
