Focus of Program: The RTF offers residential care to adolescents diagnosed with a mental illness. The RTF, the only one of its kind on Long Island, is a cottage program serving 14 girls, ages 13 to 17, who need to be under the supervision of a physician. It offers 24-hour therapeutic treatment by a team of psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, nurses, recreational therapists and child care workers. The primary focus of the program is to offer the intensive therapeutic services of a hospital while maintaining the softness of a family setting.
