151 Burrs Lane, PO Box 8020, Dix Hills, NY, 11746-9020 Contact Person: Dr. Ray Brodeur Focus of Program: This program is community based foster care group home for seven adolescent girls. Many come from residing previously in more structured settings, but, for a variety of reasons, all are unable to return to their previous family situations. The primary goal of the program is to provide a family setting for the residents. Staff serve as role models and offer guidance. Weekly chores are assigned. All attend school and, if over 16, hold a job in the community. The residents are encouraged to continue their education. Respite services are also available for adolescent girls when needed. |
